Page 363.

I would love to skip the fancy introduction of reminding you of how quick this year has gone, but I couldn't ignore it. 2014 is really moving a little quicker than I've expected. Through the whole year, everything seems to be tense and all tied up together. I can't say that I didn't rest. I did, but it is still not sufficient to ease the tiredness I feel in me. I don't think 48 hours would actually be enough for me to do what I want, and still have enough rest.

Comparing it to 2013 where everything was going on leisure due to taking a 6 months holiday off to find direction of what I want to pursue for my future. 2013 would be the year where I learn to make decision on my own , according to myself based on my own abilities. 2013 is the year where I step out of my comfort zone and start to understand other people, trying to put myself in other's shoes. 2013 is also the year which I realized that prioritize myself is still the top on my list, linking to being considerate to other people as well.

2014 is a busy year which I am trying to weigh and balance between my responsibilities and my own leisure. Unfortunately, I couldn't get them aligned. However, it still makes me feel contented and ridiculously hopeful. As much as I hate waking up early tomorrow, I am still looking forward to it.

2014 is where I meet different shapes and sizes of personalities and thoughts which I never once encounter in my whole life. We are all too different and couldn't be contained in the same box, but somehow we made it all through. Instead of accepting the fact of being unable to walk in the same path, we find ways to walk on the same path. We learn , from each other. In 2014, I learn to make things work instead of giving up due to tiredness.

It's tiring, but it's worth it.

In 2014, I learn to listen. Listening to someone and hearing someone out is relatively different, and I have finally learn that. From this , I realized that I have nothing much to say. And I realized that, having nothing to say is not wrong. Silence is sometimes the greatest comfort. I also find out that your presence is enough even if you have no words to deliver to comfort my sadness.

In 2014, I learn that love doesn't only come out of romantic form. And also, I learn that loving someone romantically doesn't always lead to the worst heartbreak. I used to make a fuss, crying to the moon and blue when I got my heartbroken and disappointed. Now, I learn the true heartbreak through calmness. I learn that disappointment with the evidence of me unable to bare myself to anyone else again. I learn that those extreme feelings do not just deliver through evidence of breaking down with tears and screams. I learn that they would deliver though calmness and weakness of your knees even if you are sitting down. You feel drained and drowned in your own emotions, unable to comprehend the true complications in you to others.
The true pain is where you couldn't say anything, because no words could ever comprehend them correctly.

In 2014, I learn a little more than 2013. In 2014, I am blessed with everything I have. In 2014, I learn to give in and compromise. In 2014, I learn that stepping out of your comfort zone to take a leap of faith will not always be appreciated by someone else. In 2014, I also learn that things that I think that it's worth my effort is actually things that never want to belong to me.

Despite so, 2014 is not any less awesome.

I hope you guys enjoy your New Years Eve and get the closure you want of the year.

loves xx.

Nathalie Gourmet Studio.

Time flies, isn't it?

There's only a few days left to New Years Eve, reaching 2015. Is it me or this year pass ridiculously fast? It feels like I have not enough time. I didn't slow down and enjoy the moments besides going to Melbourne for a short holiday. This whole year was hectic. I doubt that I could fork out anytime to go on a short getaway at the beginning of next year. Now, it angers me a little that everyone's timetable is not align - and I guess, this is one of the loss of growing up.

Back to November where we celebrated Bernice's birthday with semi-fine lunch at Nathalie's Gourmet Studio at Publika. She have been telling me about how good the food are, and how awesome the macaroons is. So chose this place to dine in.

blur.

I created a hashtag for her on insta which make her ridiculously speechless. I was attempting a very artistic shot, but there's no talent in my blood.

They have pretty good offers for their lunch deals , and the best is , they are very empty in the day. I heard that you need bookings at night. We played safe by giving a call. It would be so vibe killing if there isn't any empty seats. Perhaps it's a little early , we were the few ones in the place.

Complimentary bread with butter ; and the bread was a little hard. However, the butter was good. It has a strong milky scent compare to the ones I had before.

And one thing about fine dining, the names are always ridiculously long which I loathe to search for.

Sea Urchin Royale, Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio, Celeriac Bouillon
RM 32

Australian Grass Fed Beef Burger
RM38

The petty was really hearty , and look at the sizzling melted cheese over the thickness of the petty. I wish I could say something more about the fries. My undying love for fries is beyond imagination. The burger is on the other menu especially for lunch , thus it is not available on the official website.

Lamb in Two Ways, Shoulder Slowly Cooked in Spicies, Tenderloin Seared, Eggplant Caviar, Momotaro Tomato and Lamb Short jus
RM72

The lamb was really flavorful. I love slow-cooked lamb because they often taste tastier, and the weird smell of it wears off. When the chef couldn't control the species to go with the lamb, the whole lamb dish fails unless you have marinated black pepper lamb.

Revised Beef Tenderloin Daube Way, Carrots in Different Textures
RM70

This is my pick of main course. I had it medium-well which I regretted. I should have it medium rare instead. However, it did not spoil my appreciation towards this pick of mine. The carrots in different textures isn't just a fancy description to attract your attention. The carrot really do have different texture, and I particularly liking it softer. I love their sauce coated over all the plate. It was so good that I never allow any drip of the gem to be ignored. My plate was crystal clear , lol.

CafĂ© gourmand, Red Fruit and Lemon Triffle, Macaron, Chocolate Spoon, Fig Confit, Cinnamon Cream
RM 22

I love this combination of dessert because there is three types of it. The macaroon was really good, even better than TWG ( but not Pierre Herme). The Red Fruit and Lemon Triffle satisfied my tastebuds because it's a little more than sour but still sweet. The girls said that it's too sour for their liking but it was heaven to me. The chocolate spoon is made out of Belgium thick chocolate which was a little bitter.
From sour , sweet to a little bitter.

This combination of dessert is definitely a worthy try.

Revised Strawberry Crumble, Marbled Strawberry and Vanilla Ice Cream
RM26

I would prefer them to replace Vanilla Ice Cream with Sorbet or Gelato so that it would be an extreme end to this dessert. The Strawberry crumble was good because it was a little hard but after being in the strawberry blended sauce, it turn a little softer. It was sweet and sour at the same time. The crumble was savoury. Loving everything that taste a little sour, instead an all-in sweetness.

Wishing you all the best , stepping into twenty. She is actually the youngest among all of us.

Chocolate Dome, Strawberry Panacota, Red fruits Sorbet
RM 26

We chose this as her birthday cake instead. I don't think it's a good idea for us to buy her a whole cake because we always end up stuffing ourselves like mad and couldn't get over the overload calories count at the end of the day.

A group picture in the restaurant is a need but it is still not satisfying.

Another one outside for the sunlight!

Black floral Mini Dress for ootd.

It has been a while since I wear a dress , though.

Birthday girl in floral too, but a completely contrast shade. I told you that we always wear contrast outfits.

Loving this photo of her.

And lastly,

Four of us.

Loving this picture more than just a lot.

I think this place really serves great food, with simple ambiance. Probably a good place for occasions. I believe that it will be romantic at night too.

You can visit the website for their special package for fine lunch at reasonable prices. Actually, I would think that it is affordable for what they serve, and compare to their ala carte menu. Well, you can choose to save and eat the same quality of food.

I will definitely be a retuning customer for Nathalie's.

When you allow the bad to win.

Every individual is different , in terms of personality and looks - or perhaps something more than that which one could never see. I always think that these differences is what make one so beautiful. Perhaps not flawless, but the flaws which one hate about themselves are still love by another which they will never understand why. I really love how people embraces each other's flaws as whole and appreciate them like they are perfect. This could be regard as true love, and not in the terms of romance only.

I think it takes a lot of courage for one to open up to tell another their own flaws. Well, I don't know about the others. But it takes me a lot of courage to tell other people my own weakness. Often, I only do that to those people I trust because I truly believe that as long as I accept their flaws , they will accept mine. As cruel as it sound , not all things in the world will be reciprocated.
And it will definitely be a dilemma for me to put the blame on myself for trusting someone too much to show them my weakness , or to blame the other for betraying my trust. I can't come into conclusion and find a balance in between these because I want to get over it, seeking for closures.

In the end, I think that it don't really matter because what is done is done.

I think it's more important for me to focus of being good myself , rather than getting all emotional over other people's bad intention. I never understand the satisfaction of one stealing other people's happiness. When it doesn't belong to you, it will never be yours. Even if it is yours , it will just be temporary.

When you allow the green-eyed monster in you to take over, you will never be happy. Because, you can never win - losing to yourself in the end, actually.

The Tea Republic.

At times, you just want to reverse your own routine and do something different. It's more than just difficult to reject the habit of the day , but you just want to be rebellious. As much as caffeine shapes my mood for the day, I decided to have tea on that particular day. It was way months back when ZhiWei is back for her summer break. We literally cling on each other every single day. It is true that it's the matter of priorities and no one is too busy for anyone.

Coffee break now turns into conversation over tea. It was hopelessly romantic that day because it was raining. lol.

We settled down at The Tea Republic at Bangsar Shopping Centre.

Alright, my best friend is pretty hot lol.

This shop is not exactly eye-catching, and really small. It took us sometime to spot the place and we are always lost reading directories.

The interior mainly features on white and the songs they play are slow. It's good - a different kind of comfortable.

Ceylon Breakfast Black Tea for me to play safe because I do not particularly have liking on what scent my tea would be. Black Tea is one of the most ordered ones on the menu regarding to them , thus it's my choice. The scent is just like English Breakfast Tea , but a little sweet when I indulge it. I thought it would be tasteless.

Coral Sunset for best friend since she wanted a fruit-based tea featuring peach, apple and mango. The fruit aroma is highlighted with floral scent of hibiscus. It was rather refreshing because it was clear. I know that the combination of fruit is a little unusual but it brings the whole point of choosing a fruit-based tea - sweetness.

As much I don't want to admit it, I ordered the rainbow cake due to the colours. I know that they are solely butter-based cakes with colourings but the layer of colours is so attractive that I need to order it. It was a choice of cake and sandwich - we had Rainbow cake and Egg Mayo Sandwich.

They also offered hearty portion of sandwiches with turkey ham fillings and different kinds of wraps. Other than rainbow cake, they have other choices of cakes which is vary based on their supplier.

I heard that their Victoria Sandwich is good. Tell me if it's delicious so I could return.

Mandatory girly instapicture .

And more pictures so that my post will look a little interesting ;

I'm pretty good at this , don't you think so? lol.

You just have the rhythm coordinate well when the photographer is your best friend, and vice versa. There is no room for being shy.

And more selfie of us ....without make up , lol.

I can't believe my face is this round four months back, oh god. I can't see my jawline anywhere !

We moved in because the rain start hitting on our faces and our chairs. It was really pathetic for us to desperately carry the things to move indoors , trying to save our tea.

It was a great day - a different kind of comfort , and a little romance because the rain was pouring heavily outside. lol.

I just need to.

So what is your choice - coffee or tea?

Feeka.

Back for more brunch place !

I never thought that I would run out of suggestion to friends whenever they want to head for brunch. I have been isolating myself for a little because of assignment dues. And, I am still not done with it yet.

Please drop me a message if you have awesome brunch place to share :)

I head to KL for Feeka which is located at Jalan Mesui. I heard that they serve pretty awesome food for brunch and also, they are pretty famous among the tourist for breakfast and coffee. When tourist like this place, I believe that it will meet up to expectations.

That's me and Jessica at the counter.

The purpose of having them up here , is to show you their idea of saving energy. I love how they use natural resources ( sunlight) instead of having their lamps on in the day. This definitely meet up to the expectation of reserving our mother Earth. A plus point for Feeka for having this thought and being a good example for everyone that steps in to Feeka.

Cakes on the deck , which are selling really fast.

We settled down with White Chocolate topped with nuts. I couldn't exactly remember the name but the cake was just fine. It was worth the rm12 I pay , but not the best I have tried. Perhaps the famous Lemon and Poppy Seed Cake , or Chocolate Tart would be a better choice.

Definitely love the choice of dark shade of table to make the coffee and cake stand out. The flower needs to be there to make it artistic. This is something insta-worthy, lol.

Latte at RM 10.

Cappucino at RM 10.

The coffee definitely meet up to expectations. I could say that, it is one of the best in town. I am not exaggerating because this is the first place I visited after I came back from Melbourne. You know how good the coffee is , over there. Every coffee I consumed basically suck after I am back from Melbourne, but the coffee in Feeka was good. Really good.

Beef Sandwich at RM18 .

One of the most recommended dish online, and I should say that it's really delicious. The portion is generous. The slices of sirloin is juicy and they have horseradish relish with swiss cheese which pairs up so perfectly. I thought it was just pink mayonnaise , but it's something healthier. The Roasted Rye Bread is crispy and fresh. Overall , it was a two thumbs up.

Brioche French Toast at RM16

I ordered this because I missed the french toast from Auction Rooms back in Melbourne. This is a cheating version compared to the one I had because they did not soak the french toast long enough so there are still white areas which is tasteless. The spiced pineapple and orange sauce was really yummy and I can assured that it's all homemade. I really loathe places that use canned or preserved food.

It's really unfair that I compared this to the ones in Melbourne. But if I haven't try those in Melbourne, this is overall okay. This is sweet based so if you prefer savoury food , this would be a no no.

Hi.

We couldn't fit them all in in a square so this is it.

I literally only have black , white and red in my wardrobe. I need more than three colours in life, lol.

till then.
